Jonathan Tropper’s Words Were On My Mind

May 10, 2013

Right before I went home, we stopped by to have some fries. And as expected our gluttony was triggered. And it made me think about how people wanted everybody to have equal share because they don’t want the others to have more than what they’re supposed to have. That made me realize that sometimes being contented is something we can control not something we just achieve because it was meant to be.

Contentment is about acceptance. We achieve contentment when we know how to accept something even if we never really liked it in the first place. It means, if we really want to be happy, all we have to do is stop comparing the things that you could’ve had to the things that you are unwillingly in possession of.
